Associate Creative Director - Art
Job Description
Onsite in New York, this leadership role offers a salary range of USD 151,281 to 160,000 per year. The Associate Creative Director - Art guides the creative process, assigns project teams, and collaborates with account management to deliver high quality, healthcare-focused concepts and campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Group Creative Director to address performance, workflow, and quality concerns and chart long-term plans for the team.
- Show clients an understanding of their marketing challenges and respond to their strategic needs.
- Onboard and mentor new hires on roles and agency processes, while supporting current creatives in achieving professional and personal goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to plan and pursue ongoing growth of agency billings and participate in new business pitches.
- Support the development and review of creative briefs that deliver strategic insights and creative inspiration.
- Inspire creative teams to deliver their best work.
- Assess concepts, copy, and art at predefined milestones and offer direction before account management reviews.
- Set elevated creative standards that yield a strategically aligned, healthcare sector unique body of work, earning client enthusiasm and management recognition.
- Lead creative efforts on new business assignments when required.
- Ensure client presentations reflect the highest professional standards.
- Manage the workload for the assigned book of business to maximize productivity and the quality of output from the creative staff.
- Maintain a high percentage of billable hours within the book of business by overseeing the creative team's workload.
- Help ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
Requirements
- At least six years of agency experience with a primary focus on art direction.
- A proven history of developing concepts and sound creative judgment.
- Experience in direct client contact and organic business growth.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with account management.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Experience managing creative teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support clients and the agency.
- Willingness to work overtime as required to ensure client satisfaction.
