Art Director - Omni-Channel Creative
Job Description
The Art Director (Omni-Channel Creative) leads the visual evolution of bloomingdales.com and supports seasonal omni-channel campaign work. This role translates strategy into contemporary, brand-aligned creative storytelling across the 360° campaign ecosystem, while partnering closely with senior art direction.
Role Overview
In this position, you will introduce current, of-the-moment aesthetics that help push visual boundaries while remaining true to the Bloomingdale’s brand DNA. You will also support senior art directors by refining concept presentations, including digital design and storytelling through wireframing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply “of-the-moment” visual approaches that expand creative boundaries while staying consistent with Bloomingdale’s identity.
- Concept and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, web, and paid media.
- Use Figma to build responsive, mobile-first design systems that can scale and remain visually polished.
- Apply expert skills in typography and branding to ensure each asset aligns with the brand style guide.
- Use After Effects for motion design, including kinetic type and animated campaign assets.
- Explore and incorporate AI tools into concepting and mood boarding to strengthen and accelerate the creative process.
- Conduct visual research across art, design, film, and fashion to inform and support concept development.
- Support Senior Art Directors with concept presentation refinement, including digital design and wireframed storytelling.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to ensure creative output supports business goals and product storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university, or related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of direct design and art direction experience, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, luxury retail, or a creative agency environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, keep collaborators informed, and present ideas with confidence.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Strong motion design skills.
- Working understanding of design, cultural, and marketing trends, with fluency in fashion and lifestyle branding.
- Experience with content creation, including genAI tools, social campaigns, and digital content production.
- Flexibility to adapt schedule based on department and company needs.
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
- Print design experience is a plus.

Location: Long Island City, NY (onsite)
Salary: USD 81,120 - 135,120 per year
