Job Description

Meta’s in-house creative team is looking for an Art Director based in Los Angeles, CA for an onsite role. This position helps shape concept and art direction for brand and marketing campaigns across Meta’s apps and hardware products, with work that can span multiple channels from digital to experiential.

You will partner closely with copywriters, designers, strategists, and producers, guiding creative expressions that translate ideas into compelling storytelling across product and brand experiences.

What you’ll do

  • Direct, design, and concept brand expressions across a range of mediums, including mobile, product, film, interactive, OOH, print, events, and experiential.
  • Apply an understanding of how art direction, design, and conceptual ideas can tell brand stories within a product context.
  • Present ideas clearly and with focus to build consensus and alignment with stakeholders across teams.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional environment, partnering with producers, copywriters, marketers, and program management to support campaign goals.
  • Explore and propose new creative formats aimed at producing high-impact, memorable work.
  • Deliver mixed creative assets, including stills, animation, and live-action video art direction.
  • Create original, breakthrough creative work.

Requirements

  • Experience solving problems in fast-paced environments and working through ambiguity.
  • Ability to design, art direct, and clearly articulate conceptual design decisions.
  • Detail-focused approach with an eye for visual craft.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience art directing campaigns for consumer technology, hardware, or social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with motion design, video production, or directing live-action or animated content.
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact, such as efficiency gains and quality improvements.
  • Experience working within and contributing to large-scale brand design systems across a global product portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Compensation: USD 98,000 - 144,000 per year.
