Job Description

White House Black Market offers an onsite Art Director role in Fort Myers, FL that centers on collaborative creativity and storytelling across omni-channel campaigns for multiple brands. This position partners with Creative leadership to preserve creative integrity while guiding asset development that resonates with customers.

What you will do

  • Oversee the end-to-end creative process for the seasonal campaign, from concept to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with Creative leadership to shape concepts and asset management that align with brand standards.
  • Create seasonal marketing concepts, initial visuals, and campaign photography across all sales channels.
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies in partnership with the Creative leader.
  • Coordinate with the copy team to ensure copy and art cohesively tell product and brand stories.
  • Map out the asset shoot plan to guide the team in building out go-to-market creative after assets are delivered.
  • Maintain each brand's individuality and standards across all marketing channels.
  • Leverage customer data to inform decisions in partnership with analytics and marketing.
  • Adhere to production schedules, PLC timelines and deliverables while helping manage the team’s priorities and time.
  • Stay current on fashion, style, design, and social trends within the competitive landscape.
  • Share best practices with the design team to elevate design skills and creative standards.
  • May plan and direct photo shoots, including pre- and post-production.
  • Collaborate with producers to identify talent and vendors.
  • Develop a brand-appropriate model roster.
  • May develop graphics and layouts for marketing channels and collateral as needed.
  • This role may support multiple brands; duties may vary by brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work history.
  • 3+ years in a creative management role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating on-set art direction, mood boards, and concept development through execution.
  • Demonstrates a 360-degree perspective in concepting or design.
  • Ability to develop and execute omni-channel campaigns.
  • Vertical Retail / Fashion / Luxury / Beauty industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to develop and adhere to brand style guides, design systems, and pattern libraries.
  • Curiosity about the women’s apparel landscape, the Chico's brand, and the needs of existing and targeted customers.
  • Experience managing multiple complex creative projects with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Hands-on approach to concepting and design.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, organizational agility, problem solving, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience designing and leading typography, and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; ability to collaborate in Figma.
  • Experience with multi-channel campaign development; able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of coaching other designers and collaborating across teams.
  • Deep understanding of the creative landscape and new digital technologies.
