ACD Editorial, Motion Design

In this onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA, you will lead ideation and execution across motion graphics, animation, and distinct filming techniques within Apple Marcom’s editorial and motion design practice. You will act as the team’s primary motion and animation expert, balancing creative direction with Apple’s quality expectations.

What you’ll do

• Bring enduring cultural enthusiasm by staying current with media, arts, and social conversations both online and offline.
• Maintain an informed, discerning view of Apple’s creative work across marketing, advertising, and messaging, including both Apple brand output and third-party voices.
• Contribute to team brainstorms and ideation through collaborative iteration of new ideas and independent work integrated into the broader group.
• Develop creative concepts and express them through visual and written formats, producing static images and video compositions that can serve as proofs of concept.
• Partner with production teams through the video creative process.
• Deliver concept execution at the pace and level of craft expected within editorial teams.

What you’ll bring

• Creative leadership experience on-set and in post-production.
• Fluency in media and social platforms.
• End-to-end production fluency.
• Understanding of cultural passion points and online communities.
• Strong editorial instincts and high taste level.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments.
• 10+ years of experience in media creation or related fields.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, with expertise in After Effects, plus working knowledge of other animation software.
• A portfolio of advertising and editorial work that includes original animations, motion graphics, and filmed material across a range of tonalities and topics.

Pay & benefits

The base pay range for this role is $186,300 to $280,000 per year, and base pay will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
