News Corp's Dow Jones brands are seeking a Principal Product Designer focused on Commerce Acquisition. This hybrid role is based in New York, NY, offering a yearly salary in the range of USD 150,000 to 200,000. You will define the long-term design strategy for subscriber acquisition across registration, paywalls, shop experiences, pricing and checkout, and you will mentor designers while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive growth.

Responsibilities

Define the long-term design strategy for subscriber acquisition across multiple Dow Jones brands.
Lead highly ambiguous, business-critical initiatives spanning registration, identity, paywalls, shop experiences, pricing, packaging, checkout, and experimentation.
Partner with senior leadership across Product, Marketing, Brand, Engineering, Research, and Analytics to shape roadmap priorities and strategic investments.
Create scalable acquisition patterns, frameworks, and interaction models that extend our Index Design System and can be reused across brands.
Drive experimentation strategy by identifying high-impact opportunities throughout the acquisition funnel and translating insights into long-term product improvements.
Translate customer research, behavioral data, market trends, and business goals into experiences that improve acquisition performance while maintaining a high bar for user experience.
Lead strategic design explorations, vision work, and cross-functional workshops that align teams around future Commerce investments.
Mentor junior and mid-level designers through design reviews, coaching, and thoughtful feedback that elevates craft across the organization.
Influence how Commerce measures success by defining experience quality metrics alongside conversion, acquisition, and revenue KPIs.
Represent Commerce Design within the broader Design & Research organization while contributing to company-wide design strategy and thought leadership.

Requirements

10+ years of product design experience leading complex digital products.
Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, product vision, and measurable business impact.
Experience leading highly ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives.
Exceptional interaction, visual, systems, and service design skills.
Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across disciplines.
Experience defining design systems, reusable frameworks, and scalable product patterns.
Outstanding communication and storytelling skills.
Expert proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows.
Deep understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.
Experience mentoring senior designers and raising design quality across organizations.

Job Description

Okta is seeking a Creative Director, Demand Gen to establish and lead its first dedicated demand-gen creative function, owning end-to-end integrated campaign creative across three major campaigns to move prospects through the funnel and drive pipeline. The position offers a salary range of USD 219,000 to 301,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Establish and scale the demand-gen creative function, defining team structure, operating model, and clear partnership standards with Global Campaigns and Field Marketing
Lead a small team of two designers and one copywriter, focusing on individual development and building a cohesive unit that delivers integrated campaigns
Own the creative strategy for three principal demand-gen campaigns, translating the Global Campaigns framework into an integrated creative plan and execution
Craft cohesive campaign creative where every asset reinforces a single idea and drives conversions
Leverage performance data across channels and formats to identify effective approaches, refining the creative strategy based on market feedback
Collaborate with Global Campaigns to set clear roles, briefing standards, and a steady rhythm so creative informs campaign planning from the outset
Coordinate with the Creative Directors for Brand & Experiences and Digital, and the Director of Brand Strategy to ensure unified, coherent creative across the organization
Oversee timelines and production to deliver high-volume work on schedule without compromising quality

Requirements

Senior creative leader with experience directing demand-gen, performance, or conversion-focused campaigns, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment, and a clear understanding of how demand-gen creative differs from brand or awareness work
Proven track record building or scaling a creative function from the ground up, including hiring, developing, retaining designers and copywriters, and establishing processes, standards, and partnership models with new teams
Portfolio demonstrating integrated campaign thinking, showing how multiple asset types are connected into one creative system and iterated based on performance
Experience owning creative strategy and partnering with marketing operations and campaign teams as a creative leader, co-concepting campaigns rather than simply executing briefs
Demonstrated ability to lead a creative team while staying hands-on, comfortable both conceptualizing and executing work alongside the team
Experience applying brand systems in performance and conversion contexts
