- Establish and advance a scalable Design System and UI component library to ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across multiple product lines.
- Plan and lead user research efforts, including interviews, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations, to validate decisions within classified environments.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to align design work with technical feasibility and data pipeline capabilities on AWS/Azure.
- Mentor junior and mid-level designers, fostering critique, continuous improvement, and design excellence.
- Define and monitor UX metrics and KPIs to demonstrate the impact of design interventions and ROI on design investments.
- Present design concepts, research findings, and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership, stakeholders, and government partners with clarity and persuasion.
- Ensure all designs comply with strict government security standards and usability requirements for mission-critical systems.
- Bridge the gap between technical data structures and human-centric interfaces, making complex unstructured data accessible and actionable for operators.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SSBI and SCI access; US Citizenship required.
- 10+ years of UI/UX experience, with at least 4 years in a Lead or Principal role managing design strategy and teams.

- Proven track record shipping large-scale digital products, preferably in Defense, Intelligence, or Government sectors.
- Expert proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure).
- Deep knowledge of information architecture, interaction design principles, and visual design systems.
- Strong experience designing data-heavy applications, dashboards, and complex workflow tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
