Job Description

VIDAS seeks a Creative Director/Storyteller to shape human-centered narratives around trauma-informed immigration advocacy and to guide brand design across multi-channel communications. The role includes developing audience-ready materials for outreach and education events.

Responsibilities

Translate legal information into accessible, ethical storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
Guide the evolution of visual identity, including logos and brand kits, to reflect VIDAS mission and team culture.
Develop content for website, social media, newsletters, and donor communications across multiple channels.
Maintain a consistent, empathetic brand voice across all platforms.
Produce tailored outreach and education materials for special groups at various events.
Assist with planning and hosting special community events to engage supporters.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in marketing, journalism, or nonprofit communications with strong narrative capability.
Deep empathy for the immigrant experience, with a commitment to social justice and equal access.
Bilingual candidates preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole).
Ethical focus on trauma-informed storytelling and strict client confidentiality.
Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent creative tools.
Videography and video editing skills.
