Job Description

DesignPac is seeking a seasoned Product Designer to lead the development of our products from concept through prototype to mass production in our Melrose Park, IL on-site studio. This role blends hands-on design work with leadership and cross-functional collaboration, requiring initiative, organizational rigor, and the ability to work independently or with teams to shape projects and talent. The position offers a salary range of USD 55,000 - 65,000 per year and values candidates with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, plus a degree in Design, Art, Fashion, or a related field as a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on design and product development support across the lifecycle of assigned projects.
Assist in producing detailed product specifications, digital renderings, and presentation materials while meeting established timelines and production goals.
Collaborate closely with Designers, Merchandising, Sourcing, Packaging, and Graphics teams to move products from concept to execution, maintaining accuracy, organization, and consistency.
Support preparations for presentations, photo shoots, trade shows, and shipments, while monitoring competitive offerings and researching market trends to inform design decisions.

Requirements

Minimum of five years in product design, development, or a related creative field.
A degree in Design, Art, Fashion, or related field is a plus.
Solid grounding in design principles, color theory, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Basic familiarity with product or technical design processes.
Ability to communicate ideas through sketches and digital renderings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet timelines and production goals.
Openness to feedback and a drive for continuous improvement.
Experience in décor, giftware, gourmet foods, or floral products.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Reliable work ethic and dependability.
