Trainee, People Experience Graphic Design & Communications
Job Description
Sony Pictures Entertainment’s People Experience Strategy team is hiring a People Experience Graphic Design & Communications Trainee for a hybrid role based in Culver City, CA. In this position, you’ll help shape both written and visual communications that support internal priorities, recruiting efforts, and employer branding initiatives.
You’ll contribute to day-to-day design work across employee-facing and recruiting channels, while assisting with materials used for change management and training documentation. The role also includes opportunities to support scalable content through templates and design systems.
Role focus
- Support the People Experience Strategy team with written and visual communications aligned to key objectives and initiatives
- Design graphics for internal communications, recruitment campaigns, project materials, and employee engagement initiatives
- Help develop employer branding campaigns that communicate Sony Pictures’ culture, values, and employee experience
- Create visual assets for career sites, LinkedIn, newsletters, digital signage, internal presentations, and other employee-facing channels
- Participate in creating and reviewing training materials and documentation that support change management activities
Collaboration and creative systems
- Collaborate with People Experience and Talent Acquisition teams to maintain brand consistency
- Support the creation of templates and design systems to enable scalable content
- Join brainstorming sessions and contribute new ideas to elevate the visual identity
- Occasionally support event coordination and general administrative duties such as maintaining the brand book, file management, and project tracking
Requirements
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field; or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- Understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and branding
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent design tools
- Ability to balance personal style with corporate branding guidelines
- Interest in employer branding, workplace culture, and people communications
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
- Ability to maintain sensitive/confidential information
- Excellent written communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Passion for entertainment, with an eye for what resonates with diverse audiences
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with motion graphics or video editing tools (such as After Effects and Premiere Pro)
- Familiarity with collaborative design platforms
- Photography skills a plus
- Knowledge of social media trends and employer branding best practices
