Job Description

Gitwit is building new AI ventures and needs a Staff Product Designer to lead design from first concept to first launch, then keep improving what people actually use. In this onsite role in Bentonville, AR, you will help set the studio-wide standard for product quality while owning the end-to-end product experience for zero-to-one work.

What you’ll do

  • Set and maintain the studio’s visual and interaction quality standard across products.
  • Lead zero-to-one product design for new AI products, taking them from a blank canvas through first launch and iteration.
  • Solve the details that make a product feel complete, including states, edge cases, and interaction precision.
  • Design AI workflows for experiences where results can vary, including handling wrong or uncertain answers, human review and approval moments, fallback paths, and clear next steps.
  • Create multiple design directions, evaluate tradeoffs, and make decisions with clear reasoning.
  • Prototype quickly to help the team learn what is real before investing in overbuilding.
  • Turn user observations, research, and usage signals into product hypotheses, experiments, and design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with product strategists, researchers, engineers, designers, and venture leaders to convert promising ideas into testable products.
  • Bring discipline and meticulousness to how design is built across the studio so each product does not have to recreate the basics.
  • Capture and share what the studio learns about review, correction, approval, uncertainty, failure states, and user trust, so each new venture starts sharper than the last.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of product design experience with hands-on depth in the craft.
  • Experience taking products from zero to one.
  • A portfolio you can share that demonstrates your experience.
  • A focus on craft and finish.
  • Zero-to-one ownership and comfort navigating ambiguous outcomes.
  • Product judgment under uncertainty.
  • AI-native interaction thinking.
  • Research-to-product synthesis.
  • Clear cross-functional communication.

First months focus

  • Step into an active venture, understand the product direction quickly, and identify first design moves that reduce risk and accelerate testing.
  • Take a venture from rough to polished, producing screens you can share in a portfolio.
  • Own a new venture concept early by shaping the workflow, product direction, prototype, and first testable version.
  • Create the early design system, flows, states, and specs engineers need to build quickly and consistently.
  • Support lightweight user tests or experiments with discovery and product strategy, then translate early signals into prioritized design iterations.
