Sr. Art Director, Interactive
Job Description
Apple is hiring a Senior Art Director, Interactive to help envision and build marketing and commerce design systems across Apple digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale systems across Apple’s marketing platform, Web, and iOS
- Present work to senior creative staff and stakeholders
- Collaborate across teams to deliver performant, on-time, and “magical” experiences
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive, pixel-perfect design files to production partners
- Work under the guidance of creative leads while partnering with creative and technical disciplines to create considered, elegant design systems spanning iOS to Web
- Brainstorm, coordinate, and collaborate with a project team to explore concepts and iterate on design solutions
- Follow work from concept through production and delivery, ensuring alignment with Apple’s quality standards
Requirements
- Excellent design and conceptual skills with the ability to guide, evaluate, and redirect creative development when necessary
- Highly skilled with design and prototyping software
- Very proficient with motion and interaction design
- Extensive knowledge of web/iOS production and basic front-end engineering skills
- Strong communicator with exceptional presentation skills: articulate ideas clearly, engage in healthy debate, accept directional feedback across the org
- Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced creative workplace and deliver quality work at high volume within tight timelines
- Experience building trust with multi-disciplinary partners on creative concepts and collaborating effectively to solve complex problems
- Provide thoughtful guidance to junior creative staff, with a mentorship and knowledge-growth mindset
- Diligent, flexible, resourceful, independent, and organized; willing to take risks, fail, and learn from mistakes
- Strong diplomatic skills to actively engage stakeholders in healthy debate
- Strong understanding of data science metrics and the customer journey
- Proficiency drafting and/or consulting on documentation such as production guidance and end-user instructions
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience in product design, design systems, and UI design for Web and/or iOS
- Portfolio showing strategic insight, systematic thinking, and visual design talent across digital experiences including web, mobile, and/or apps

- Sunnyvale, CA (onsite)
Salary & Compensation
- Base pay range: USD 186,300 to 280,000 per year
- Base pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location
- Base pay is one part of Apple’s total compensation package and is determined within a range
- Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation
