Senior Product Designer

Motion Recruitment is hiring a Senior Product Designer to partner closely with the product and design team and take features and end-to-end flows through complex B2B problems. The role combines strong design thinking, design-system collaboration, and active, opinionated use of AI.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from an ambiguous brief through discovery, delivery, and shipment.
• Identify root problems behind symptoms and challenge the framing when it is not right.
• Bring a clear point of view to decisions and defend it through the product process.
• Apply a strong command of design phases, core principles, and handoff details, including states, design notes, and Figma hygiene.
• Balance execution with blue-sky thinking, with the judgment to move fast or go deep as needed.
• Contribute to and work within an existing design system.
• Use user research to ground design decisions and support ongoing research efforts.
• Stay curious about AI, use it actively, develop real opinions, and share that perspective with the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B or fintech.
• Experience owning design projects or complex features end-to-end.
• Familiarity with design systems, including the ability to work within one and help improve it.
• An entrepreneurial instinct, demonstrated by prior startup experience or a strong interest in early-stage environments.
• A clear thesis on AI and design: active use and formed opinions rather than outsourcing thinking.
• Strong problem distillation skills and the ability to communicate reasoning clearly.
• Comfort asking “why” and probing beyond surface-level requirements.
• Teachable and opinionated, able to update viewpoints with new information without folding under pressure.
