Job Description
The Nike Senior Manager for Kids Tees Apparel Graphic Design leads the creative direction and scalable graphic systems for Kids Tees across seasons, partnering with Merchandising and Product to ensure design aligns with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and rollout of the graphic direction for Kids Tees, ensuring a steady stream of engaging, consumer-relevant designs across seasons.
- Steer concept development, assess illustration and typography systems, coordinate with cross-functional partners on product strategy, and optimize team workflows.
- Direct seasonal graphic direction for Kids Tees with emphasis on concept-led design and narrative storytelling.
- Elevate illustration, typography, and composition quality across the product range.
- Develop scalable graphic systems adaptable to high-volume assortments while preserving creative integrity.
- Uphold rigorous design standards by reviewing and raising the quality of team deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Product to align on opportunities and storytelling.
- Increase workflow speed and efficiency without compromising design quality.
- Mentor and develop designers to strengthen concept thinking and craft skills.
- Identify opportunities to innovate in the tees category through new graphic approaches, styles, and expressions.
Requirements
- Provide a portfolio of creative design work, with website links or attached PDFs when applying.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field; a suitable mix of education, experience, and training is acceptable.
- Minimum 8 years of apparel graphic design experience, including leadership roles.
- Expert-level skills in illustration, typography, and layout.
- Strong conceptual thinking, translating ideas into clear and compelling graphic narratives.
- A refined eye for design, composition, and visual storytelling tailored for kids' audiences.
- Ability to build scalable graphic systems that sustain creativity across large assortments.
- Leadership that enables rapid progress while maintaining craft standards.
- Strong people leadership with a track record of developing talent and fostering creativity and accountability.
- Effective collaboration with Merchandising and Product to align creative with business needs.
- Balance between creative expression and commercial awareness to resonate in the marketplace.
- Portfolio demonstrating excellence in illustration, typography, and concept-driven design.
- Experience in high-volume graphic categories such as tees or similar products.
- Solid understanding of product creation processes and graphic application.
