Job Description

This Senior/Founding Product Designer role is based in Manhattan, NY (onsite) at a fast-growing, well-funded, AI-native startup. You will partner closely with founders and senior engineers while owning the full design lifecycle, from early product strategy through visual execution. The position includes hands-on ownership, meaningful collaboration, and the opportunity to help shape design culture as the company builds.

What you’ll do

Design is at the center of your day-to-day work, with a strong focus on AI-native product design and system architecture.

  • 70% Hands-On Design Execution: create wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and contribute to design systems
  • 10% Management & Strategic Duties: set design direction, inform product strategy, and support cross-functional alignment
  • 20% Team Collaboration: collaborate with founders, engineers, and customers throughout discovery and delivery
  • 70% AI native product design & system architecture
  • 30% Frontend/UI implementation using React, TypeScript, or AI coding tools

What you bring

  • 4-7+ years of Product Design experience in fast-paced startup environments
  • A strong portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex product workflows
  • Expert-level Figma skills and fluency with modern design systems
  • Experience designing for AI-driven products or B2B SaaS
  • Ability to collaborate deeply with product and engineering teams
  • Technical proficiency with React, TypeScript, or AI assisted coding tools
  • Experience with customer discovery, usability testing, and rapid prototyping
