Job Description

As a Senior Designer focused on Field Sports Apparel Graphic Design at Nike, you will shape college and team uniform concepts and distinct team apparel collections informed by athlete and market insights. This onsite role in Beaverton, Oregon centers on turning research into strong visual systems across graphics, trims, and print applications, then collaborating across Nike and partner teams to bring seasonal initiatives to life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of college uniform designs and team apparel collections that advance sport storytelling, sport storytelling, and innovation.
  • Collaborate to execute a shared vision aligning Nike with college teams and athlete insight.
  • Translate authentic insights into a meaningful visual center using graphics, trims, and print applications designed to stand out on major stages.
  • Contribute to the overall creative vision through product execution and ongoing design decision-making.
  • Run team meetings and communicate key information to ensure alignment.
  • Monitor design progress and meeting deadlines to support seasonal delivery timelines.
  • Present design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences while protecting Nike’s best interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fashion design, industrial design, apparel design, material design, textile design, or a related field. Any suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be considered.
  • A well-curated portfolio demonstrating a strong, effective methodology across research, inspiration, design development, problem solving, process, and final execution.
  • Strong skills in sketching, illustration, typography, brand identity, and color theory.
  • Proficiency with digital design software, with a high level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required. Adobe InDesign, Keynote, and Adobe Photoshop are a plus. Must be open to working in new digital spaces.
  • Deep understanding of make and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of sports and an ability to stay connected to current and emerging cultural and design trends.
  • Knowledge of apparel creation, including ideation, development, specification, and final execution, balancing innovation, performance, and style.
  • Proven ability to inspire and drive creative direction through product execution.
  • Collaborative mindset and flexibility to manage multiple projects with internal and external partners across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentational skills.
