Job Description

FASTSIGNS #271001 is seeking a Production & Graphic Design Specialist for an on-site role in Osseo, Minnesota. This full-time position blends hands-on production with graphic design, guiding custom sign projects from layout to installation. You’ll design, produce, and install signs, including assembling, erecting, and hanging, with occasional lifting and moving tasks. The role offers a pay range of $18 to $25 per hour and requires at least one year of graphic design experience along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Follow a layout to apply computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics onto a predetermined substrate or medium
  • Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning
  • Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; techniques vary by size, vinyl type, and image complexity
  • Operate and maintain printers and routers
  • Perform quality assurance before and after production by interpreting work orders and proofreading for errors
  • Complete finishing operations such as laminating and mounting printed pieces
  • Install completed signs on job sites using ladders and power tools
  • Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center manager/production manager or franchisee
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist the design team using Adobe software to create designs for sign projects

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of graphic design experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to prioritize multiple jobs, multitask, and work autonomously
  • Determine the best output method based on customer needs
  • Capable of delivering high volume, high-quality work under pressure
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (4 hours or more)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Flexibility to reach over a waist-high table and perform back-and-forth motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics
