Production & Graphic Design Specialist

Based in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, this onsite, full-time Production and Graphic Design Specialist role combines hands-on production with design support for custom sign projects. The position entails designing, producing, and installing signs, moving and assembling components, and collaborating with the design team using Adobe software to refine graphics.

Compensation

USD 18 - 25 per hour

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphics on a predetermined substrate or medium
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; techniques vary with size, vinyl type, and image complexity
• Operate and maintain printers and routers
• Perform quality assurance before and after production by reading and interpreting a Work Order and proofreading for errors or standards
• Finish pieces by laminating or mounting printed visuals
• Install completed signs on job sites using ladders and power tools
• Report inventory levels and stock needs to the center manager, production manager, or franchisee
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support the design team by using Adobe software to create designs for sign projects

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of graphic design experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work autonomously
• Determine the best output method based on the customer’s needs
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality work
• Ability to stand for four hours or more
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
