Product Designer - Web
Job Description
Own the marketing site end to end and help HeyGen improve conversion and activation through fast experimentation, mobile-first design, and design-system thinking. You will partner closely with Growth, Marketing, and Web Engineering as a true product collaborator, using AI-assisted coding tools to prototype in code and push designs to production quality.
Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite)
Compensation: USD 180,000 to 235,000 per year
Experience: 3+ years
What you’ll do
- Own the design of HeyGen’s marketing site from concept through production-ready specifications, covering homepage, product and feature pages, pricing, campaign landing pages, templates, and SEO pages, plus the handoff into signup and onboarding.
- Partner with Growth, Marketing, and Web Engineering to decide what to test, not just how things look.
- Design and ship A/B tests and landing page variants by building hypotheses, defining success metrics, reviewing results, and carrying learnings forward.
- Improve top-of-funnel conversion and the transition into the product by understanding how the site connects to signup, first-run, and activation and how those signals relate to retention.
- Create high-quality concept work, including exploratory directions, bold hero moments, motion, and storytelling that reflect the product’s value.
- Design mobile-first and responsive by default, with desktop and mobile treated as equally important.
- Use Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent tools as a core workflow to prototype in code, explore more directions quickly, and reach production-level implementation without waiting for a handoff.
- Maintain and extend the site design system so pages ship quickly without quality erosion, and help keep the site and product feeling cohesive.
What you bring
- 3+ years designing and shipping modern software and web experiences (more is great; exceptional output and drive matter).
- Proven experience designing marketing sites in production with a clear understanding of the difference between attractive design and conversion performance.
- Experience working as a product designer embedded with PMs and engineers, shipping features, and owning the downstream impact.
- Track record designing for metrics-driven outcomes, including fluency with A/B testing and an understanding of conversion rate, activation, retention, and top-of-funnel versus bottom-of-funnel.
- Strong visual design fundamentals (typography, layout, color, motion) and the ability to bring a point of view to a blank canvas.
- Systems thinking experience building components and patterns rather than one-off pages.
- Comfort with AI-assisted design, including hands-on familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, or equivalents, producing production-grade output and using these tools as a multiplier for judgment.
- Mobile and responsive design as second nature.
- Comfort with ambiguity and high-velocity iteration in public, with constant shipping.
- Clear communication, including the ability to explain design decisions and revise when data contradicts assumptions.
- Open-minded, self-driven mindset with strong learning habits and staying current with industry insights.
Benefits
- Matching 401k plan
- Health benefits
- Generous PTO
- Parental leave program
- Emotional health resources
- Equity
Highlights
- End-to-end ownership of HeyGen’s marketing surface while working directly with Growth, Marketing, and Web Engineering.
- Join an elite design team focused on ownership, speed, and impact, with influence over what gets tested.
- Ship to a site with enough traffic to answer hypotheses in days, and build in code using AI as a core part of the workflow.
