Product Designer & Product Development Lead
Job Description
ROAM Adventure Co. is hiring a hands-on Product Designer and Product Development Lead to drive vehicle accessories and outdoor gear from first concept to production and market launch. This onsite role in Show Low, AZ brings together industrial design, CAD engineering, prototype iteration, and vendor coordination to keep projects on track and launch-ready.
What you’ll do
- Own the end-to-end product journey, taking items from early concept through production and market launch.
- Lead CAD design, prototyping, and testing, while managing outside contractors and manufacturers to meet timelines, quality standards, and deliverables.
- Design parts and assemblies in SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Create manufacturing-ready drawings and documentation.
- Work across multiple product types, including sheet metal components, 3D printed parts, soft goods (bags, organizers, covers), cast aluminum components, and injection-molded parts.
- Build, test, and iterate functional prototypes, then perform real-world testing and revise designs based on feedback.
- Own product development timelines from concept to production, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate and manage outside contractors, fabricators, and manufacturers, tracking milestones, identifying risks, and keeping work moving forward.
- Hold vendors accountable for quality, communication, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate closely with internal product, operations, and leadership teams to ensure products are launch-ready.
What you bring
- Strong experience with SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Proven experience creating manufacturing drawings and documentation.
- Hands-on understanding of prototyping and fabrication.
- Experience working with outside manufacturers, vendors, or contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from concept through production.
- Comfort taking ownership and driving projects independently in a remote setup.
- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Interest in the automotive aftermarket and/or outdoor gear industry (required).
- No degree required. Experience and capability matter more than credentials.

Compensation and benefits
- Pay range: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
