Product Designer, Places

Raya App is hiring an IC Product Designer for Places, focused on building and evolving the design foundation through the Figma design system and strong engineering handoff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, expand, and document the Figma design system, keeping components clean, consistent, and implementation-ready
• Create detailed design specifications that support engineering partners in developing features
• Support senior designers by helping craft user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity visual assets
• Regularly audit components, patterns, and screens to spot inconsistencies and identify opportunities to refine
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure components are implemented accurately and behave as intended
• Promote best practices across Raya and Places, including accessibility, scalability, and visual consistency
• Participate in design critiques, providing feedback and proposing system-level solutions to design challenges

Requirements

• 2–4 years of product or UI/UX design experience, with exposure to design systems and component-based design
• Fluency in Figma, including comfort working with libraries, variants, and structured design files
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a methodical approach to problem solving
• Ability to translate requirements into clean, accurate design specs for engineering
• Portfolio demonstrating UI craft, design systems work, and scalable design patterns
• Degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience
