Product Designer
Job Description
Snap Creative is hiring a Product Designer for an onsite role in Camarillo, CA. This position focuses on taking licensed promotional and collectible consumer products from early concept through production, with close collaboration across internal teams and factory partners. The role also includes opportunities to apply both design craft and manufacturing-aware decision-making to deliver products that fit budget and schedule constraints.
What you’ll do
- Research market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor products to shape new ideas across multiple product types and studio properties.
- Stay current on industry trends, technology, and materials to support strong design directions and future-facing concepts.
- Design and develop promotional and collectible consumer products from concept through production.
- Create 2D and 3D sketches and illustrations for hardgoods and plush, with styling that can range from realistic to caricature.
- Visualize and present designs to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Select materials, components, and production methods based on product requirements and manufacturing limitations.
- Partner with project managers, factory partners, and clients to refine designs so they can be manufactured within budget and schedule constraints.
- Prepare detailed design direction for factory partners, with PDF creation experience as a plus.
- Inspect and comment on 3D sculpts, physical prototypes, and pre-production samples, using Pantone books, factory references, and OBJs from the studio or factory.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams on product packaging and Sewn in Labels.

- Expert-level Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in toy design, art, or a related field.
- Understanding of apparel, accessories, or other softlines design.
Preferred
- Passion for pop culture, with collectors welcome.
- Experience with licensed characters and product.
- Familiarity with toy and food safety standards.
- Knowledge of Bambu Labs FDM Printing Hardware.
