Prepress Specialist/Technical Graphic Design

AlphaGraphics - US361 is looking for a Prepress Specialist/Technical Graphic Design professional for an onsite role in Las Vegas, NV. In this deadline-driven environment, you will take client artwork from multiple digital formats and prepare it for accurate commercial digital print, proofs, and production-ready layouts.

You will work with established templates, handle prepress file conversion and color adjustments, and use Adobe prepress tools to ensure correct layout and die-cut measurements. The position is listed at USD 18 per hour.

What you will do

• Apply client files to established templates to maintain correct layout and die-cut measurements.
• Convert and prepare files received in various digital formats to match different print production outputs.
• Verify and modify file image sizes as needed for production accuracy.
• Execute production design and layout work efficiently and effectively.
• Build proof images so clients can review for errors and potential print issues.
• Provide graphic design ideas, solutions, and alternatives based on customer input.
• Perform color correction and make recommendations or adjustments for print files based on project requirements.
• Modify multiple file types and help standardize source material for reliable downstream production.
• Create layouts and proofs for print, signage, and apparel production, or for client approval when needed.
• Prioritize time-sensitive orders, review and resolve problem orders promptly, and support customer expectations through accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and knowledge.

What you bring

• Expertise in Adobe InDesign is a must.
• Color matching and profiling is a plus.
• Experience with software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Caldera, Onyx, PitStop, Switch, Numbers/Excel, and Word/Pages is helpful.
• Ability to work on macOS.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to follow tasks through to completion.
• Strong time management skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments at the same time.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid work ethic, with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
