Photo Lab and Graphic Design Assistant
Job Description
A hands-on role supporting photo lab workflows, color management, prepress tasks, and graphic design projects in a production setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess and respond to walk-in clients as well as phone and email inquiries to determine project needs.
- Oversee color calibration and color management workflows to ensure faithful reproduction across diverse media.
- Assist with layout, typography, and overall graphic composition using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure consistency with client specifications.
- Operate and maintain printers to optimize production throughput.
- Support prepress tasks including file preparation, proofing, and troubleshooting print issues.
Requirements
- Creative mindset with a solid artistic foundation.
- Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; training is available for the right candidate.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Digital photography and photo editing skills.
- Knowledge of color management techniques and print production workflows.
- Familiarity with digital printing technology.
- Familiarity with prepress software for preparing files for print.
- Basic understanding of typography, layout design, and print advertising principles.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure quality control throughout production.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.

Compensation
- Pay rate: USD 18.00 - 20.00 per hour
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (required).
Work Location
- On-site role based in Old Greenwich, CT 06870; on-site work is required.
