Job Description

Based in New York City on site, JPMorganChase seeks an Olympic & Paralympic Art Director, Vice President to lead a focused creative team as the firm unveils its first Olympic partnership. This role blends hands-on craft with creative leadership on a global stage, shaping visuals that will be seen by audiences worldwide.

Compensation for this role ranges from USD 114,000 to 180,000 per year. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the minimum experience listed is three years, with the broader requirements calling for five or more years in brand design or art direction and at least three years directing small creative teams.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and own the art direction for the Olympic partnership across print, digital, environmental, and publication channels, fostering bold concepts with minimal supervision.
  • Concept and art direct from the ground up, producing storyboards, comps, and key visuals to pitch ideas and guide production.
  • Develop and refine visual identity systems and asset toolkits to maintain consistency and scalability across partnership materials.
  • Deliver high-level craft in a hands-on capacity while setting standards for composition, typography, layout, and finish.
  • Ensure work aligns with strategy and brief, resonating with brand, audience, and partnership objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and partners; lead presentations and collaborate directly with stakeholders through production.
  • Collaborate with copy, strategy, marketing, production, and external agencies to achieve cohesive outcomes on schedule.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, establishing expectations, giving clear feedback, and supporting growth.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback respectfully while maintaining quality during rapid iteration.
  • Stay current on design, sport, art, and culture, integrating AI tools and emerging technology to enhance ideation and production.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in brand design, art direction, or a related creative discipline.
  • 3 years of experience leading or directing small creative teams.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional art direction, brand design systems, and hands-on craft across multiple channels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Demonstrated experience with generative AI tools and an intrinsic interest in adopting emerging creative technologies.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and strategic design capability—able to connect visual decisions to brand intent and business goals.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; able to articulate creative rationale to senior audiences.
  • Proven ability to balance hands-on execution with team leadership and creative direction.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a consistently high bar for quality.
  • Strong time management and comfort operating across multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
