Job Description

This contract role seeks a Motion Designer and Video Editor to support RUN STUDIOS LLC on a three-month engagement in Seattle. The position is hybrid, requiring multiple days on site in Seattle, WA.

Location

Seattle, WA, hybrid work arrangement combining on site and remote collaboration.

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 70 - 85

Experience

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in motion design and video editing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design and animation for video content, covering concept development, storyboarding, asset creation, animation, and final output.
  • Edit live-action and mixed-media projects, including cuts, basic color correction, basic audio leveling, and finishing passes.
  • Create motion graphics, lower thirds, transitions, and visual effects tailored for social media and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with producers, editors, and stakeholders to translate briefs into polished deliverables.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visuals outputs.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in motion design and video editing.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both animation/motion graphics work and live-action video editing.
  • Ability to independently shepherd a project from initial concept through final animated delivery.
  • Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience creating content for social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Excellent time management and adherence to structured production timelines.
  • Figma for UI/UX asset design, layout creation, and design-team collaboration.
  • Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, animation, compositing, and visual effects.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, basic color correction, and audio leveling.
  • Adobe Illustrator for vector asset creation, icon design, and animation-ready graphics.
