Job Description
The Motion Designer role at David Yurman Enterprises LLC focuses on crafting storytelling driven videos, motion graphics, and visual effects for social and digital channels. The position involves collaborating with creative directors and cross-functional teams to deliver premium content from New York, NY with a hybrid in-office and remote schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist in concepting and storyboarding to shape compelling narratives.
- Produce high-quality videos and motion designs aligned with objectives and brand guidelines.
- Edit footage, perform color grading, and develop title designs to elevate each project with energy and a modern sensibility.
- Apply expertise in video editing and motion graphics software, design principles, and storytelling.
- Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and support the end-to-end production process.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, present ideas, incorporate feedback, and align with cross-functional and leadership expectations.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to deliver innovative and impactful visual content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in video editing and motion design or related fields, with the ability to create visually appealing and impactful videos; experience in fashion, beauty, and luxury industries preferred.
- Creative expertise demonstrated by a robust portfolio showcasing storytelling, technical skills, and knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
- Technical proficiency in video editing, color grading, visual effects, motion graphics, compositing, and related post-production processes; video retouching experience a plus.
- Software mastery of industry-standard tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.
- AI driven design knowledge is required.
- Adaptability and innovation to stay current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
- Strong communications and collaboration skills for working with Creative/Art Directors and cross-functional teams, with the ability to share knowledge and expertise.
- Attention to detail and a critical eye for delivering luxury-grade quality.

Work Model
Location: New York, NY. Hybrid schedule: Monday through Friday, three days in office and two days remote.
Compensation
Estimated base salary: USD 65,000 – 75,000 per year.
