Motion Designer
Job Description
Krea is looking for a Motion Designer to help bring product stories to life through motion. This onsite role in San Francisco, CA works within Krea Studio, partnering closely with the Creative Director to carry projects from early concepts and storyboards to polished final animation for launch, product, and social needs.
What you’ll work on
You’ll design and animate motion content that supports product launches, feature announcements, and social channels. The work spans launch videos, product demos, brand films, and social content, with a focus on clarity and visual craft.
Responsibilities
- Design and animate content for product launches, feature announcements, and social channels
- Develop storyboards and style frames to set project direction
- Use typography, graphics, and UI animation to communicate product features and workflows
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop ideas and iterate based on feedback
- Partner with the product team to understand new features and how to demonstrate them
Requirements
- Proven motion design track record, with a portfolio of completed projects
- Strong eye for typography, composition, color, and visual hierarchy
- Strong animation fundamentals, including timing, pacing, and transitions
- Experience developing concepts and storyboards, not only animating supplied designs
- Experience with product/UI animation or creative software launches
- Proficiency in After Effects (or equivalent motion-design software)
- Clear communication and comfort taking work through feedback and revisions
