Motion Designer
Job Description
Terra is hiring a Motion Designer to join its international team and support U.S.-based clients. This role focuses on producing motion graphics and animation content for a major strategic client partnership, with healthcare experience considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with creative leadership, designers, and project managers to understand objectives and translate concepts into engaging motion graphics and animations.
- Design and produce motion graphics for multiple formats, including social media, websites, sizzle reels, presentations, and video projects.
- Create storyboards, style frames, and animatics to explore, visualize, and validate creative direction.
- Apply and follow existing brand guidelines to maintain consistency and cohesion across all deliverables.
- Edit video content by integrating motion graphics and animation to strengthen visual storytelling.
- Build and manage a library of motion design assets, templates, and resources to improve efficiency on future projects.
- Track developments in motion design and tools, and share new ideas to support the team’s creative output.
- Manage scheduling independently and communicate proactively with project managers to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions by generating innovative concepts and improving production standards.
- Serve as a dedicated team member for one of Terra’s largest and most strategic client partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with motion design tools, including Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- 5+ years of experience as a Motion Designer or in a closely related role, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
- Strong command of motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling principles, with a detailed, quality-focused approach.
- Knowledge of typography, color theory, and core graphic design fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, including clear communication of ideas and concepts.
- Experience creating animations tailored for different platforms, including social media, websites, and video.
- Strong time management skills, with the capability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Interest in staying current with trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in motion design and animation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability to address creative or technical challenges as they arise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas internally and with clients.
- Availability aligned with the Pacific Time Zone, working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT.

Salary: USD 75,000 - 100,000 per year.
