Job Description

Join JPMorgan Chase's Digital Customer Experience team in New York City, onsite. This Motion Designer role offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 142,500 to 205,000 and the chance to craft scalable animation that aligns with Chase’s brand language for mobile experiences, with secondary work on web. Responsibilities

  • Help define Chase's motion design language and steer its application within technical constraints and accessibility guidelines.
  • Develop compelling animation concepts that celebrate owned brand assets from concept through final delivery.
  • Elevate UI motion to extend brand guidelines and establish scalable design frameworks for broad adoption.
  • Draft design system motion guidelines to empower teams across Digital Customer Experience, Marketing, and Advertising.
  • Apply motion expertise to simplify complex experiences, ensuring they are scalable and usable across products.
  • Contribute to a collaborative critique culture and support fast-paced delivery without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

  • Five to eight plus years of experience as a motion designer with an online portfolio that highlights multiple projects and direct contributions.
  • Strong mastery of animation principles and modern tools such as After Effects, Lottie, Spline, and Cinema 4D.
  • Extensive experience delivering motion and video for native iOS and Android apps.
  • Strong eye for layout and visual hierarchy across mobile and web experiences.
  • Solid understanding of design systems, UX, and UI within product design.
  • Proven ability to distill, document, and apply logic to evolve motion design language and scalable frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and asset-management skills with meticulous attention to detail throughout production.
