Manager, Broadcast Motion Design

Major League Soccer is hiring a Manager, Broadcast Motion Design to lead broadcast graphics initiatives across MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, and MLS NEXT. This hybrid role is based in Stamford, CT and supports matchday and studio visuals through both motion graphics and supporting static imagery like headshots. Along the way, you will collaborate with MLS partners and internal teams, contribute fresh design concepts, and help art direct virtual studio visuals.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the primary designer for motion graphics solutions for match broadcasts and studio shows.
• Manage and create headshots and other static images used in broadcast graphics packages.
• Bring new ideas and designs to improve and expand broadcast graphics packages.
• Attend meetings to review and discuss broadcast graphics with MLS partners and MLS staff.
• Assist with matchday broadcast graphics operations on midweek evenings and weekends.
• Help art direct virtual studio designs.
• Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience as a generalist producing high-end 2D and 3D motion graphics design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficiency with VizRT Artist
• Familiarity with VizRT Arena
• Strong foundation in motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout
• High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Commitment to quality and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reel and portfolio of work
• Desired: Knowledge of the Spanish language (business proficiency)

Salary: USD 82,000 - 88,500 per year. Experience level: 5+ years.
