Junior / Mid-Level Motion Designer + Compositor

Platinum Platypus, Inc. is seeking a Junior / Mid-Level Motion Designer + Compositor to join a full-time, in-studio team in Huntington, Long Island. The role combines motion design for national brands with compositing, VFX, and 3D animation work tied to feature film projects.

You will collaborate closely with experienced artists and creative directors, moving from direction to final shot delivery. The position also includes time spent exploring current AI production tools as part of the workflow.

• Animate a national brand spot
• Composite a VFX shot for a feature film
• Create and support a 3D product animation
• Experiment with the latest AI production tools
• Take direction and work through a shot or animation to solve problems and contribute creatively

Core skills and experience

• After Effects experience is a must
• Comfortable working in After Effects
• Strong sense of motion, timing, composition, and design
• Ability to take direction, work through a shot or animation, solve problems, and contribute creatively
• Adobe After Effects: 2 years (required)

Compensation and benefits

• Salary range: USD 50,000 to 63,000 per year
• Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience and skill level
• Pay: $50,000.00–$63,000.00 per year
• Paid time off
