Jr. Art Director
Job Description
Beach House Group is seeking a Junior Art Director to support the Creative Director in bringing brand vision into production-ready creative. This onsite role in Culver City, CA combines creative direction support with hands-on graphic execution across campaign and brand touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and deliver creative for campaigns, digital, packaging, social, advertising, and brand collateral.
- Own graphic execution from brief to delivery, including hands-on design work and guidance for freelance graphic designers to ensure on-brand, on-time results and consistently high craft.
- Assist with art direction for photo and video shoots within established creative frameworks, supporting both pre-production and on-set execution.
- Make photo selects and provide detailed, retouching-focused notes.
- Support packaging development from concept through production-ready files, including dielines, print specifications, and coordination with vendors.
- Build and maintain templates, visual systems, and production files that help scale brand consistency.
- Communicate creative decisions clearly to internal teams and cross-functional partners.
- Maintain organized asset handoff processes, ensuring files are properly named, easy to find, and delivered cleanly.
- Stay informed on the broader visual landscape and bring relevant references to strengthen the work.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a design or art direction role, ideally in-house at a consumer brand or lifestyle agency.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong graphic craft and the ability to execute within a defined creative vision.
- Packaging experience required, including understanding of the full production process from structural considerations to print finish.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma and Miro fluency is a strong plus.
- Experience art directing photo and video shoots, including the ability to communicate direction clearly on set.
- Strong typography, layout, and composition skills, with attention to detail.
- Collaborative and reliable approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Motion or video editing experience is a plus, including After Effects and Premiere.

Compensation
The annual base salary range is $80,000–$90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
