Graphic Design/Sign Production

Quad City Custom Signs is seeking a Graphic Design and Sign Production specialist in Davenport, IA to create branding, signage, and marketing visuals, then support production from files through fabrication and multimedia output.

Responsibilities

• Create original concepts and designs for branding, signage, marketing materials, digital content, and other visual media using industry-standard graphic design software
• Prepare print production-ready design files with color accuracy, precise layout, and compliance with prepress standards
• Produce motion graphics, animations, and video content for multimedia projects
• Utilize tools such as Adobe Illustrator to support motion and multimedia deliverables
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project needs and provide art direction aligned with brand guidelines and marketing strategies
• Support sign manufacturing from design conception through production, including sign layout, material selection, and fabrication specifications
• Perform photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital retouching using Adobe Photoshop or comparable tools
• Maintain visual consistency across branding elements by applying typography principles, color management, and visual hierarchy

Requirements

• Proficiency with graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Sketch, Figma, and InVision
• Strong knowledge of digital art creation, layout design, typography theory, color theory, and print production techniques
• Experience with sign manufacturing workflows, including sign layout and production file preparation for print or fabrication
• Technical skills in web development languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript for UI/UX design projects
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress for website updates and marketing content management
• Ability to create motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects or similar motion design tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining ideas to clients or internal teams
• Comfort with photo editing tools for professional image enhancement and manipulation
• Understanding of prepress procedures, including color management and print file preparation for reliable output
• Experience designing marketing campaign assets for digital platforms, including social media graphics and advertising materials
