Job Description

This part-time, on-site role provides the opportunity to teach, mentor, and shape student outcomes within a collaborative Graphic Design program in Lynchburg, Virginia. You will guide undergraduate and graduate courses, support creative exploration, and contribute to a culture that values hands-on learning and professional practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate and graduate graphic design courses, covering foundational and advanced topics
  • Provide instruction rooted in professional practice and creative exploration
  • Support student learning through thoughtful critique and ongoing mentorship

Requirements

  • MFA in Graphic Design or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated professional experience in the design industry
  • Proven teaching skills with pedagogical excellence
  • A strong portfolio showcasing contemporary, industry-relevant work
  • Clear and effective communication in English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent problem solving skills with analytical reasoning and sound judgment
  • Flexibility in a swiftly changing environment
  • Initiative and willingness to collaborate within a team
  • Experience operating learning management software and industry tools, including Adobe in a Mac environment
  • Commitment to Liberty University's mission and adherence to policies, representing the university professionally
