Job Description
This part-time, on-site role provides the opportunity to teach, mentor, and shape student outcomes within a collaborative Graphic Design program in Lynchburg, Virginia. You will guide undergraduate and graduate courses, support creative exploration, and contribute to a culture that values hands-on learning and professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate graphic design courses, covering foundational and advanced topics
- Provide instruction rooted in professional practice and creative exploration
- Support student learning through thoughtful critique and ongoing mentorship
Requirements
- MFA in Graphic Design or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated professional experience in the design industry
- Proven teaching skills with pedagogical excellence
- A strong portfolio showcasing contemporary, industry-relevant work
- Clear and effective communication in English, both spoken and written
- Excellent problem solving skills with analytical reasoning and sound judgment
- Flexibility in a swiftly changing environment
- Initiative and willingness to collaborate within a team
- Experience operating learning management software and industry tools, including Adobe in a Mac environment
- Commitment to Liberty University's mission and adherence to policies, representing the university professionally
