Job Description

Nike seeks an Expert Designer for Basketball Apparel Graphic Design in Beaverton, OR (onsite) to lead narratives and visual storytelling across NBA and WNBA uniforms, collaborating with design teams to craft graphics and branding for licensed basketball apparel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual development of narratives for multiple NBA and WNBA uniforms through Graphic Visual Centers and compelling presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external product and design partners to align on construction, development insights, and presentation milestones.
  • Work closely with Uniform Design teammates to shape the future of sport across licensed basketball uniforms on a day-to-day basis.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions on creative strategy and participate in design review meetings to ensure goals are met.

Requirements

  • Portfolio submission is required to be considered; provide portfolio via website links or attach a PDF when you apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a minimum of 8 years of graphic design experience in an agency or in-house setting, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Deep passion for and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and compelling visual storytelling.
  • Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design intent clearly to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong design craft across graphic applications, printing processes, and tooling.
  • Extensive knowledge of apparel product creation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and experience with digital tools and 3D workflows.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and the ability to work with diverse perspectives.
  • Passion for empowering athletes and teams and helping bring their dreams to life.
