Job Description
Bellweather Agency is hiring a remote, full-time Creative Director to lead the Creative department and set creative direction across projects. In this role, you will partner closely with Strategy, guide ideation through presentation, and oversee creative production to ensure deliverables meet client goals, market needs, and Bellweather’s quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead Bellweather’s Creative department, shaping the creative direction for every project and aligning work with client objectives, market trends, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with the Strategy team to define project creative direction and keep it aligned with overall business goals.
- Guide the team in developing innovative, strategy-driven solutions tailored to target audiences.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain momentum in creative innovation.
- Oversee development of creative pitches, ensuring concepts are compelling and meet client needs.
- Deliver persuasive client presentations for creative concepts and scaled deliverables, clearly communicating vision and value.
- Ensure all creative output meets top standards of quality, creativity, and innovation.
- Use media plans and scopes of work to bring creative concepts to market effectively.
- Oversee project development and execution to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget, including oversight of photo and video production.
- Provide creative oversight for photo and video production, including approvals for cast, wardrobe, set styling, shot lists, scripts, and storyboards.
- Travel on site when needed as the creative lead to ensure the production executes the vision accurately and creatively.
- Manage resource allocation across multiple projects, balancing team performance and supporting the use of freelancers, software, and other creative tools.
- Improve creative processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners for seamless creative integration and delivery.
- Lead and mentor the creative team, fostering a collaborative, learning, and innovative work environment.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff and freelance support, ensuring the team has the needed skills and expertise.
- Supervise day-to-day creative team activities, including effort tracking and budget allocation.
- Support professional growth through feedback, training, and development opportunities, and conduct performance evaluations with development plans.
- Contribute to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, using creative expertise to attract and secure new clients.
- Participate in pitch presentations with creative insights aligned to client objectives.
- Engage with clients to understand goals and challenges so Bellweather’s creative solutions exceed expectations and drive business growth.
- Help position Bellweather as a leader in creative innovation through thought leadership, industry engagement, and high-profile project work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in a creative agency, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role (Art Director, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director).
- Proven experience scaling omni-channel media plans and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proven experience directing photo and video production, from storyboarding to post-production.
- Proven experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency setting, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Strong portfolio showing innovative and strategic creative work across campaigns, brand identity, and digital projects.
- Proficiency in creative software and tools including Adobe, Figma, and Google Suite.
