Visual Design Associate Manager
Job Description
This onsite role supports Accenture Song within the Design & Digital Products practice, guiding visual design direction, building design systems, and advancing AI-enabled workflows across engagements in the Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities
- Influence the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, cohesive aesthetics, and timely execution.
- Interpret briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights to craft compelling visuals, with the ability to develop and defend an original visual point of view.
- Deliver high quality visual work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with strong craft and meticulous attention to detail.
- Own your workstream end-to-end, making purposeful design decisions and delivering production-ready outputs with minimal guidance.
- Actively incorporate AI tools into your workflow to speed concepting, iteration, and production, while contributing to the team’s evolving AI-enabled practices.
- Engage in client and stakeholder conversations, articulating design rationale clearly and growing as a trusted creative voice.
- Document and share how AI tools alter workflows, contributing to the practice’s evolving understanding of AI-enabled visual design.
- Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase visual capabilities.
- Monitor internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
- Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback, references, and approaches to help them develop their craft.
- Participate actively in the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources and ongoing discipline development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of visual design experience across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- Experience contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy to production-ready delivery.
- Proven ability to produce brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a distinctive visual voice.
- Strong track record of delivering high-fidelity visuals with pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
- Experience giving feedback and informal guidance to junior designers, helping others grow their craft and confidence.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists to deliver cohesive experiences.
- Solid grounding in UX principles to inform visual decisions and express a coherent brand point of view.
- Experience contributing to scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Comfort with AI tools in design practice, from concepting to rapid iteration, and openness to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
- Recent hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and related motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
- Strong communication skills and client presence, with the ability to present design rationale and contribute to creative discussions.
