Visual Design Associate Manager
Job Description
Based in Houston on a dedicated on-site basis, this Visual Design Associate Manager role sits inside Accenture Song’s Design & Digital Products practice. The position offers a compensation range of USD 68,300 to 218,800 per year and a path to influence visual direction across engagements. You will mentor teammates, shape design systems, and deliver polished visuals across brand identities, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences. You will also integrate AI-enabled workflows to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production in client work.

Responsibilities
- Help define and steer the visual design direction for engagements from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and timely progress.
- Translate briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into compelling visuals, developing and defending an original visual point of view.
- Deliver high quality work across brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital experiences with meticulous craft and attention to detail.
- Take ownership of your workstream, making purposeful design decisions and delivering production-ready output with minimal redirection.
- Incorporate AI tools into your workflow to speed concepting, iteration, and production, while helping the team evolve its AI-driven practices.
- Participate in client and stakeholder conversations, presenting design rationales clearly and cultivating trust as a creative voice.
- Document how AI tools reshape workflows and contribute to the practice’s evolving understanding of AI enabled visual design.
- Support proposals and case studies by contributing project work, process documentation, and design narratives that showcase capabilities.
- Stay attuned to internal and client needs, flagging opportunities for deeper work or expanded scope to your lead.
- Mentor junior team members informally, sharing feedback, references, and practices that help others grow their visual craft.
- Be an active member of the Visual Design Craft community, contributing to shared resources and ongoing discipline development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of visual design experience across multiple industries, brand types, platforms, and contexts.
- 2+ years contributing to visual design engagements end-to-end, from concept and strategy through production-ready delivery.
- Experience producing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a developing strong visual voice.
- Proven ability to deliver high fidelity visuals with attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
- Experience giving feedback and informal guidance to junior designers, helping others grow their craft and confidence.
- Background collaborating in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
- Solid grounding in UX principles guiding visual decisions while expressing a clear brand point of view.
- Experience contributing to scalable design systems ensuring visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
- Comfort using AI tools in the visual design process, from concepting to rapid iteration, with openness to evolving workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools.
- Strong communication skills and client presence, including the ability to present design rationale and participate in stakeholder discussions.
