Job Description

Expedia’s Vrbo design team is looking for a Senior Product Designer based onsite in West Hollywood, CA to help shape the end-to-end Vrbo Trips experience. In this role, you’ll connect group coordination to clearer, more helpful experiences across the full trip journey, while bringing Vrbo brand expression into accessible web and app design.

What you’ll do

Own the end-to-end design for Vrbo Trips, from framing opportunities and defining interaction models through detailed execution, launch, and iteration.
Design across the whole trip lifecycle: planning, pre-arrival, in-stay, and post-stay, supporting both the organizer and the guest so travelers feel informed, included, and in control.
Translate Vrbo’s brand into distinctive, accessible product experiences, balancing brand expression, usability, and business goals across web and app.
Shape product strategy through storytelling by partnering with product, engineering, content, and research, using prototypes, research insights, analytics, and experimentation to build shared conviction.
Prototype with AI tools and model outputs to explore how AI-enabled experiences can help groups make decisions together, grounding concepts in real traveler needs.
Raise team craft through critiques, design reviews, and mentoring, while championing accessibility and inclusion in what you ship.

What you bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or a related field (or equivalent related professional experience).
5+ years of professional experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
A portfolio that demonstrates shipped digital products with strong interaction and visual design, including the story behind the work: the problem, key trade-offs, and impact.
Deep expertise in interaction or visual design, plus proven capability in complementary areas such as prototyping, research, facilitation, information architecture, or content design.
Experience designing complex products with product and engineering partners, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clarity and explain design rationale to engineers and senior leaders.
Fluency with modern design and prototyping tools, and comfort working within an established design system while helping it evolve.
