Job Description
Georgia Southern University is accepting applications for a pool of part-time temporary faculty positions supporting undergraduate Graphic Design and Digital Foundations programs for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses
- May be assigned to teach across modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online
- Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and the SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines
Requirements
- Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Art or related subject
- At least 18 graduate semester hours in graphic design or digital arts
- Classroom instruction experience in higher education
- Ability to teach: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro

Position Details
- Job type: part time
- Employment basis: as-needed, semester-by-semester
- Location: Statesboro, GA (onsite)
- Teaching may occur: on any of the three campuses (as required)
- Non-supervisory: this is not a supervisory position
- Driving: this role will not be required to drive
- Position of trust: not considered a position of trust
Proposed Salary
- Commensurate with experience
- Exempt position paid monthly

Conditions of Employment
- All work must be completed while the employee is physically present in the state of Georgia, except for limited exceptions such as research and study abroad outside activities (for example, grading and email correspondence), unless specifically authorized by the University for a specific purpose and limited period of time
- Faculty are expected to engage students, participate in events, and perform other responsibilities on-campus
- Faculty may be required to teach, conduct research, or perform service duties on any of the three campuses
