Senior Visual Product Designer

This role supports the creation of high-quality user interfaces for touchscreen-enabled fitness equipment just outside Chicago, with a focus on blending hardware and software into engaging digital experiences. The Senior Visual/Product Designer will concentrate on visual craft, UI and visual design, prototyping and interaction, and close alignment with product and engineering teams on the details that shape day-to-day use.

Role Overview

As a Senior Visual Product Designer, you will lead meaningful portions of visual UI work, develop interactive prototypes to test interaction patterns, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the final product experience is coherent across design and build.

Key Responsibilities

• 70% UI / Visual Design: using Figma, contributing to design systems, and producing high-fidelity mockups
• 20% Prototyping & Interaction: creating interactive flows and conducting testing to validate interaction decisions
• 10% Collaboration: supporting alignment with Product and Engineering on design intent and implementation

Across the day-to-day, the expected focus includes 60% Hands On, 10% Management Duties, and 30% Team Collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in visual design, UI design, or product design
• A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, polished interface work
• Expertise in typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
• Experience working within or building design systems
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
• Strong collaboration experience with product and engineering teams

Desired Qualifications

• Experience designing for kiosks, POS systems, or touchscreen devices
• Background in hardware or connected device experiences
• Exposure to gamification, fitness, or interactive environments
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design
