Senior Art Director

Calcium+Company is seeking a Senior Art Director to lead art and concept development onsite in Philadelphia, PA. This role partners closely with copy, evaluates creative work against the brief, drives revisions while preserving impact, and owns projects from strategy through execution. The position also includes mentoring designers or interns and helping translate strategic objectives into engaging, well-designed tactics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts effectively in group settings or alongside a copy partner.
• Review creative work against the creative brief to confirm strategic alignment.
• Incorporate internal and client revisions while maintaining the impact of art and copy.
• Build effective working relationships with account, project management, and other members of the creative team.
• Provide proactive recommendations that are relevant to client work.
• Represent agency core values positively both internally and at industry functions.
• Begin collaborating with outside vendors and internal services as needed.
• Own projects end-to-end.
• Interpret strategic objectives and create thoughtfully designed tactics that deliver on strategy.
• Mentor designers or interns.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry or agency experience.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a partner.
• Developing presentation skills and capability to build client relationships.
• Team-oriented approach, with willingness to collaborate.
• Ability to work in relevant software programs, including the Adobe Suite.
• Ability to work in relevant software programs, including the Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to work in relevant software programs, including PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in relevant software programs, including Word.
• Ability to work in relevant software programs, including Outlook.
