Job Description

Blue Novius is seeking a Senior 2D Graphic & Motion Designer to work remotely, shaping visual narratives for data-rich medical content. The role centers on producing style frames, storyboards, characters, and visual systems, while mentoring junior designers and delivering production-ready assets for motion and interactive projects.

Responsibilities

  • Convert intricate, data-heavy material into engaging, clear, medically accurate visual narratives
  • Deliver top-tier storyboards, style frames, characters, and visual assets that set the creative benchmark
  • Review and optimize assets to ensure quality and motion readiness
  • Bridge communication between art directors and the motion design team
  • Mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative learning environment
  • Navigate company guidelines and playbooks to solve design challenges efficiently
  • Guarantee assets are rigged and production-ready with solid knowledge of After Effects pipelines
  • Own projects from concept to completion and know when to involve directors or other departments
  • Apply UX principles to support interactive video experiences

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional design experience, including exposure to motion graphics and animation pipelines
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) and Figma
  • A consistent drive for excellence and a reluctance to settle for merely good enough
  • Experience mentoring junior designers and supporting their growth
  • Proven expertise in character design and rigging
  • Strong grasp of animation principles
  • Excellent storytelling ability to simplify and visualize complex scientific content
  • Solid understanding of UX principles to support interactive experiences
  • Fluent English with strong communication skills
  • Windows-based workflow experience (not Mac)
