Production Assistant - Graphic Design & Vinyl

This is a hands-on production role supporting the Graphics & Vinyl Department at Ad Light Group, onsite in Denver, Colorado. The position focuses on preparing production files, operating large-format printers and vinyl equipment, performing finishing tasks, quality checks, and coordinating workflow to meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

GRAPHICS & VINYL PRODUCTION

• Support the preparation of production files for large-format printers, vinyl plotters, and photopolymer equipment
• Operate vinyl plotters, laminators, printers, and finishing machinery
• Weed, mask, laminate, trim, and prep vinyl graphics for production
• Create high-quality graphics for interior signage, ADA signage, wall graphics, and specialty applications
• Interpret production drawings and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication
• Conduct quality inspections on artwork, printed graphics, and finished products
• Stage completed materials for fabrication, assembly, and installation
• Facilitate cross-department workflow to keep projects on track
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Aid in meeting production schedules and customer deadlines

PRODUCTION SUPPORT

• Communicate with fabrication, project management, and installation teams to coordinate activities
• Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency across workflows
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Work overtime when needed to help meet customer commitments

REQUIREMENTS

• Vinyl graphics or sign production experience (1 - 3 years required)
• Large-format printing experience (1 - 3 years required)
• Experience with vinyl plotting and application
• Experience with laminating and finishing equipment
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign (3 - 5 years required)
• CAD tools or similar software
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience
• Print production or fabrication experience (1 - 3 years required)
• Color matching skills
• Experience with custom signage
