Product Designer
Job Description
Apple’s Applications group is looking for a senior Product Designer to help shape simple, beautiful experiences and expand a first-party application across Apple’s platform. The work moves from early brainstorming through implementation, with frequent partnership across engineering, product, marketing, and QA.
What you’ll do
- Work across the full design-to-delivery flow, collaborating with the Applications design team and partners in engineering, product, marketing, and QA.
- Partner with a multi-disciplinary team to develop features that delight users and improve people’s lives.
- Apply strong judgment to quickly understand and distill complex topics into clear, usable solutions.
- Serve as an effective diplomat with strong communication and organizational skills, taking ownership of multiple features from inception through completion.
- Support team success, with an ongoing willingness to mentor and assist team members.
Minimum qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience focused on product design and UI across platforms such as iOS, web, or others.
- Experience shipping digital products end to end, including documentation and the development process.
- Ability to communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations.
- High proficiency and speed with the tools needed to visualize ideas and deliver design work.
- Experience working in iterative design cycles, including group critique.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present work to large groups and executives.
Additional requirements
- Demonstrated creative and innovative problem-solving, with a willingness to take the lead when needed.
- Ability to integrate AI into the design process, including knowing where it makes sense to use it and where it does not.
- A strong eye for visual detail across proportion, type, motion, and interaction.
- Empathy and experience advocating for user experience with peer teams such as engineering, operations, product, and business.
- Passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.
- Strength in building new products from the ground up.
- Interest in Journal and Books, whether from a product or personal perspective.
- A team-first mindset focused on ensuring the team succeeds as a unit.
Pay & benefits
This onsite role is located in Culver City, CA. The base pay range is USD 205,400 - 308,500 per year, and Apple base pay is determined within the range based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
