Job Description

Join Suno as a hands-on motion designer for paid social, creating performance-native ad motion that stops the scroll on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The role focuses on turning brand motion into ad variants and building original motion from scratch for fast iteration and performance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Rework the brand team’s motion into performance-native ad variants for Meta and TikTok.
  • Build original paid social motion from scratch, including kinetic type, animated captions, logo, product, and UI motion.
  • Create motion designed to carry the hook in the first second, particularly for concepts without live footage.
  • Produce multiple iterations of winning concepts to support continuous creative testing.
  • Adapt motion across formats and placements including 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 for Stories, Reels, and Feed.
  • Bring original concepts and angles, supporting the creative direction rather than executing only against a board.
  • Maintain brand coherence while pushing toward what performs for paid social.
  • Use performance signals to refine motion decisions and double down on what works.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio of motion created for short-form video ads for Meta and/or TikTok, or comparable performance-oriented work.
  • Senior-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with Premiere for assembly and CapCut for fast cutting.
  • Practical understanding of direct-response creative, including hooks, angles, pacing, and why motion succeeds or fails.
  • Proven ability to deliver a high volume of variants at speed without reducing quality.
  • Proactive, self-directed work style, including identifying gaps and contributing ideas without prompting.
  • Ability to extend an existing brand system while creating net-new motion for performance.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with a consumer subscription app, a growth agency running paid social, or a DTC/ecommerce brand.

  • Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma for prepping and adapting assets.
  • Comfort using AI tools within a motion workflow to move faster.
  • Interest in music and awareness of culture.

Compensation

This is a contract role paying $70 to $90 per hour, depending on experience, at roughly 20 to 40 hours per week.
