Lead Designer
Job Description
Nike seeks a Lead Designer to concept, sketch, and present innovative graphics for Nike Accessories in Global Football.
Responsibilities
- Concept and sketch groundbreaking design ideas, then present them for review.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate concepts into physical products.
- Partner with development and business teams, and engage Athletes, handling details from trims and print applications to presentations shared with internal and external audiences.
- Contribute to and shape narratives and visuals across a diverse range of products.
- Tackle a broad scope of responsibilities and experiences, staying adaptable as projects evolve.
- Demonstrate passion and creativity with versatility and focus to shepherd designs through the product creation process.
- Operate as a committed team player who embraces collaboration, feedback, and multi project management.
- Translate complex insights into authentic narratives and deliver compelling solutions that help define the future of Nike Accessories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; any suitable mix of education, experience, and training is acceptable.
- 5+ years of graphic design experience in an agency or in‑house setting.
- Strong interest in current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
- Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
- Comfort with change and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of typography design and trends.
- Effective visual and verbal communication, with the ability to present design intent to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in sketching, illustration, print and pattern, color theory, and layout.
- Experience with graphic applications, development, production and schematic tools, and the apparel product creation processes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, CLO 3D, and openness to exploring new digital spaces.
- Commitment to elevating diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure accurate intent and execution across multiple product types.
- Passion for design, sport, strategic thinking, and curiosity.
