Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist
Job Description
The Thrasher Group is hiring a Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist to support its Marketing team from the Bridgeport, West Virginia office. This role independently produces original, polished visual materials from concept through final production, while also contributing to proposals, presentations, client communications, and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original graphic design work for proposals, presentations, advertisements, campaigns, events, client communications, and digital platforms.
- Lead projects from concept through final production, applying decisions across layout, typography, imagery, hierarchy, messaging, and application.
- Develop graphics, infographics, diagrams, maps, and other visual elements to simplify complex information.
- Design and produce professional print and digital materials, including advertisements, brochures, signage, displays, event materials, and web or social graphics.
- Prepare production-ready files and work with print production requirements such as bleeds, folds, panels, image resolution, and color modes.
- Develop proposal and interview presentation graphics and support qualifications packages, statements of interest, and other business development materials.
- Research clients, projects, communities, and industries, and collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and other technical staff to create audience-focused content.
- Write and edit proposal narratives, project descriptions, presentation content, advertisements, and other marketing communications.
- Support video editing, digital content, conference materials, and other marketing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, or a closely related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong professional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, branding, and image editing or manipulation, with print and digital production knowledge.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
- Strong writing, editing, research, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Portfolio required for consideration, demonstrating original, professional-level graphic design work.

This position supports proposals, interview presentations, client communications, and marketing initiatives that help Thrasher communicate effectively and win work. The work includes researching topics relevant to clients and projects, writing and editing marketing communications, and developing presentation content in collaboration with technical staff.
