Job Description

Join Wild Card Creative Group for an onsite freelance motion designer role in Culver City, CA. This opportunity offers an hourly range of USD 45 to 70, a two-month contract, and a chance to lead platform-specific motion content for entertainment and brand campaigns. Collaborate with producers, editors, strategists, and creative teams to shape visuals from concept through delivery while maintaining a high standard of craft.

Responsibilities

  • Design and animate motion content for social, digital, and audiovisual channels for entertainment and brand clients across multiple platforms and placements.
  • Lead motion projects from kickoff through final delivery, upholding creative excellence at every stage.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, editors, strategists, and creatives to develop and execute engaging motion graphics.
  • Translate creative briefs into compelling visual narratives tailored to platform-specific best practices.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while staying organized, on schedule, and delivering high-quality work.
  • Contribute innovative ideas during brainstorming and help drive campaign execution.
  • Maintain a high bar for design, typography, animation, and finishing details across all deliverables.
  • Stay current on emerging trends in entertainment marketing, social content, and motion design techniques.

Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop, with strong experience in graphics, animation, and compositing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere; familiarity with Cinema 4D or 3D workflows is a plus.
  • Proven experience creating motion and design content for entertainment and brand campaigns.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from concept to delivery in a fast-paced agency or studio environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working cross-functionally and incorporating feedback.
  • Strong creative judgment with a passion for storytelling and entertainment marketing.
  • 3–5 years of experience at a creative agency, entertainment marketing agency, or production company.
